3 Things to Consider When Creating a Social Media Page for your Car Wash

Social Media

With social media platforms such as Facebook reaching more than 2 billion monthly active users, it’s no wonder that more and more businesses are jumping on the social media bandwagon to promote their business.

Where to Start?

It can be tempting to jump right in and sign up to as many social media platforms as you can. The danger to this approach is that juggling many platforms at once may result in not mastering any of them.

So, how does a car wash owner choose the right social media platform, and make the most out of it when there are so many to choose from?

Here are 3 things to consider when creating a social media page for your car wash:

  1. Choose the right platform

As a car wash owner, you need to consider where your Customer may look to find information about your wash. Some social media platforms will be a natural fit for your business, while others may not. Snapchat for example may be a fun way to engage and connect with people, but it may not be ideal for a car wash owner looking to promote their business. Facebook however is a great platform to reach your customers as it’s free and easy to create a Facebook page. A Facebook business page also makes it easy for your Customers to find and connect with you.

Social Media Options

  1. Consider how much time you have available to you

Creating a business page on Facebook is great - if you have the time to regularly update it. Setting aside some time every day to keep your page up to date is paramount to ensuring your pages’ success. As with anything, consistency is king, the more time you put into your page, the more benefits you’ll reap. If you find that you are unable to put in as much time as you’d like, consider sharing the upkeep of your page with a trusted employee.

Time Management

  1. Keep it fresh

In this modern age, Customers are always on the lookout for something new.  As with any online content, freshness matters most. Your customers want to know what’s new – so make sure you tell them. Tell your customers about new products or services you’ve added, announce special offers, make sure basics such as your contact information, location, and business hours are easy to find. Have some fun with your page by posting fun videos about car wash fails, engage with your audience, and get your logo out there by using it as your profile or cover photo.
